There was a note that said 'Alter Mark,' although I'm not sure what that means.

I have conjectured that 'Alter Mark' is the long form of the note 'A.M.', which means that this person lived at his or her address both before and immediately after the creation of the ghetto.

I agree you have found the student who most likely signed this name in the album. In 1941, he would have been 12 years old, the right age to attend school #14b. I'm also not sure what "Alter Mark" refers to, but I hope we can find out.

I believe the father of the family was Mendel (b. 1902), who died on November 18, 1943 of (currently) unknown causes.

Szymon also had siblings; namely Fajga (b. 1928, who also signed the album), Gitla (b. 1932), Hinda (b. 1938), and Juda Hersz (b. 1938). Their deportation dates were all the same, September 10, 1942, on which date there was a deportation to Chelmno. I have concluded that this is where these siblings went.

I agree you have found Szymon's family. I agree that the September 10, 1942 deportation went to Chelmno, where Szymon and his siblings were likely killed. Thank you for helping to complete Szymon's record.
