User Comment:
My research depends on the assumption that Gela's last name "Szulmajster" was Germanized into "Schulmeister" in German records.

Also, I cannot find any information about Gela Szulmajster beyond the ghetto. When her name is typed into Google, however, it comes up on a list of people buried in the Jewish Lodz cemetery (http://stevemorse.org/lodz/lodz.php?nameKind=starts&dummyNameMax=&nameMax=&givenNameKind=starts&dummyGivenNameMax=&givenNameMax=&sideKind=exact&sideMax=§ionKind=exact§ionMax=&quarterKind=exact&quarterMax=&offset=31750). When I tried to research more into whether she was actually in the cemetery though, I could no longer find her name on the list. But there is a chance that she died in the ghetto and is buried in the Lodz cemetery.

I agree that this is likely the person who signed this name in the album, since as you note Szulmajster and Schulmeister are the same name in two different languages. Remember to look for both spellings in the next stages.
