User Comment:
I ran a "fuzzy" search for the last name "Hades" in the database, and found two similar results with the same year of birth and the same addresses. This leads me to believe that "Ryfka Chodes" and "Rywka Hudes" are "R. Hades".
Expert Reviewer Comment:
Here's a case where those database tools make a difference, and it was great that you made use of them. I agree that you have found two possibilities, or more likely one person with variant spellings, matching the R. Hades who signed the album for School 17A. It's interesting to note that there are no matches for Hades as an exact spelling, which suggests that it is either an uncommon name or an error in spelling or in transcription. When I ran the fuzzy search, I got only the Hudes spelling, but when I ran the dmsoundex search the Chodes spelling showed up. Was that your experience as well? Please continue to see what more you can learn about Rywka Hudes/Chodes.

Great work putting these two names together. I look forward to seeing what you find out about Rywka/Ryfka in the next stages.
