I agree; in 1941 she would have been 13 years old, an appropriate age to be attending school #10b. Please also note her addresses: Muehlgasse 11 flat 28 and Pieprzowa (Pfeffergasse) 27. Nice work, see you in stage 2!

Agreed. We don't know where she went, but we believe most of the numbered transports went to Chelmno. Thank you for helping to complete Sura's record.
User Comment:

On April 21, 1942, there are no recorded transports to Chelmno.  However, there were recorded transports to Chelmno on both April 1 and April 2, 1942; so, it is possible that this was a typo (either in the original document or in the transcription to database).  However, the assigned transport number also does not quite match, as the April 1 and 2 transports were TR 39 and 40 respectively (according to the Chronicle of the Lodz Ghetto, p. 143).  So, the question which needs to be explored is, "Was there a deportation transport out of Lodz to a camp on April 21, 1942, and alternately, when was there a transport #12 out of the Lodz ghetto..". There may have been more than one with that number, but probably only one in 1942.

Thank you for adding the date and transport number into the appropriate fields. I agree that the transport date and number present a bit of a puzzle. Hopefully, a future research will be able to identify more conclusive evidence to help us determine Sala's fate. Have you tried examining additional sources in the later research stages? If she wasn't sent directly to Chelmno, then there may be other clues.
