Salomon Zamel Calel may be Szlomo Calel because his date of birth fits perfectly in wiht where he went to school.

His occupation was a schueler.

Another option in Szlama Calel.  He was born in 1929, so he is a couple years out of the typicle range for that school, but his name is so similiar.

I also think you might be onto something with Szlama, partially because we already know that Salomon's middle name wasn't Lutek (but again, it might be a language-translation issue, rather than a not-the-same person issue). As you suggest, Szlama might be a little young for Gymnasium--but everything is always possible.
