Gymnasium and high school for girls
Gymnasium and high school students were typically between 14 and 20 years old. A gymnasium student in September 1941 was likely born between 1921 and 1927.
The gymnasium and high school for girls was located on Otylii. The street name was changed to Ottilienstrasse when German occupation began in 1939. See
www.lodz-ghetto.com for a map of Otylii and the rest of the Lodz ghetto.

User Comment:
Diana is exactly the right age for "Dajtchcwajg" and her last name only differs by 2 letters that if written to close together could have easily been mistaken as "ch" instead of "el." Diana has sparked a greater interest in me about her because she has my same birthday.

I agree with your process and conclusions--and what an amazing coincidence about your birthdays. I hope you are able to find more information on her in the next stages. Don't forget to add her other address, Hohensteinstrasse 11. Best of luck!

User Comment:
According to Jewishgen.org all of the persons I have listed were registered to the same address and transferred to the same address. NO additional information is given outside of the occupation of the mother and father, and that both girls were students.
I have listed both addresses for her, it is listed under the Ghetto information.

I agree that these are likely Diana's relatives, based on the fact that all three possible family members share Diana's addresses, and their ages indicate the likely relationships. Did you look through the resources on the subsequent stages to see what other information might be there? Remember to keep looking for the Dajtchcwajg spelling, just in case.
