One possibility is that the actual records from which data was keyed into the Lodz Ghetto Inhabitants database may be fragmentary or otherwise incomplete. It's also possible that errors were made by members of the World Jewish Congress when they recorded survivor names or birth dates after the war, or that their records were accurate but were inaccurately keyed into the databases we are using. Regardless, I'm pretty sure that even the Jewish Council's registry in the ghetto probably didn't accurately record everyone living there, and I'm also pretty sure that people may have given different names at different times. Frustrating, I know!
