    Overview

    Description
Shots of huge numbers of people gathered at the Essen airfield. Joseph Goebbels speaks at the 10th Gauparteitag in Essen. Goebbels speaks, from 01:28:02. Celebrating the 10th year... 01:28:18 "Wie unrecht haben jene..." 01:28:26 "Judentum es wagte in der Reichshauptstadt gegen einen antisemitischen Film offen zu protestieren . Translation:
Jews dare to publicly protest in Berlin against an antisemitic film, but now the moment has come when we say: this far and no farther! The foreign press does not govern Germany, we do, and we are only responsible to our own people, not to foreigners. The Fuerher commands, we follow!

Shots of Goebbels speaking are interspersed with shots of the industries of Essen and of the audience. The last scenes show a parade through the town, with music.

Goebbels is referring to the antisemitic Swedish film "Petersson und Bendel", directed by Per Axel Brauner. It was shown in Berlin in July, 1935 and caused violence in the streets against Jews.
