    Note: Maria Mandl was Lagerfuehrerin, or Camp Officer, at Auschwitz-Birkenau from October 1942 until late November 1944. Hildegard Laechert was notorious at Majdanek. Therese 'Rosi' Brandl was said to be an "ugly woman with an ugly personality to boot" (commented from Auschwitz survivor Helen Tichauer).
