Why do you think the media has not done a better job of publicizing the problems in Darfur and throughout the rest of Sudan? Throughout American history, the media has served either as a source of information from which Americans can form their opinions, or it has surpressed and concealed the important information that Americans should have access to. You would think that given the amount of information that American journalists have gathered on Sudan, the media would have focused on it more and forced the Bush administration to take action rather than neglect what they have termed as "genocide"? Has the American media failed its original purpose?
