Lemkin carried a one-man campaign for the creation of the word "genocide," Proxmire continued his call for a genocide convention, and Galbraith called the issue of the Kurdish slaughter in Iraq to the public eye. Clearly more than one person should be educating the public about the situation in Darfur and pushing for a U.S. response. Is there any one person working to end the Darfur conflict, though, who can be comapared to these individuals who relentlessly pushed for an American response to genocide?
