Have you read any of the burned books? Admired any of the artists? Did it surprise you that the Nazis targeted non-German authors?

Lesley I had heard of Helen Keller, and was surprised to see that she was one of the targeted authors. I didn't realize she was a socialist. Which artists were targeted? So far I have come across only Ludwig Meidner in this site.
