Conversations in the Wexner Center: Bob Behr
Join us for a conversation with survivor Bob Behr as he shares personal stories and photographs from his experiences during the Holocaust.
Bob was born in 1922 in Berlin, Germany. In 1942 he and his mother were arrested by the Gestapo and deported to the Theresienstadt camp-ghetto. In early 1944, Bob volunteered to work at Wulkow, a satellite camp of Theresienstadt, where he remained until the prisoners were returned to Theresienstadt in February 1945. The Soviet army liberated the camp on May 5, 1945. Bob and his mother eventually returned to Berlin and he immigrated to the United States in 1947.
