Conversations in the Wexner Center: Margit Meissner
Join us for a conversation with survivor Margit Meissner as she shares personal stories, photographs, and treasured objects from her experiences during the Holocaust.
Margit was born in 1922, in Innsbruck, Austria, and soon moved with her family to Prague, Czechoslovakia. In 1938, she left for Paris, where she studied dressmaking. After Paris fell to the Germans in June 1940, she fled to the south of France, eventually escaping to the United States, where she and her mother settled in 1941.
