DR. PETER SUEDFELD TO DELIVER LECTURE AT U.S. HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL MUSEUM
Dr. Peter Suedfeld will present “Life After the Ashes: The Postwar Pain and Resilience of Young Holocaust Survivors,” at the Monna and Otto Weinmann Annual Lecture sponsored by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies. The Lecture will be held on Wednesday, May 15 at 7:00 p.m. Attendance is free of charge, but reservations are requested by May 13 by calling 202-488-6162. Dr. Suedfeld is Dean Emeritus of Graduate Studies and Professor Emeritus of Psychology at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. A Holocaust survivor, he was hidden as a Christian child after Nazi troops invaded his hometown of Budapest, Hungary. He was liberated by Soviet troops in early 1945 and arrived in New York City in 1948 at age 13. He received his Ph.D. from Princeton University.
