The Life Reborn International Conference, held in January 2000, told the remarkable, yet little known story of the rebirth of Jewish life in Europe after the Holocaust, paying tribute to those who reaffirmed both life and communal identity. Holocaust survivors, their children, scholars, and those with firsthand knowledge of the era joined in Washington for a series of programs that included the Conference, a special exhibition at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, and activities at other major Washington institutions. The Museum and the Second Generation Advisory Group was honored to have so many participate in this historic occasion. To learn more about Life Reborn, please click here.
