Trofaiach

A DP camp in the Steiermark district, in the British occupied zone of Austria. Prior to its status as a DP camp it housed military troops. Trofaiach DP was opened in fall of 1945 with the ability to hold 4,000 individuals. It was located near an industrial community and was an all-Jewish camp.
