Voyage of the St. Louis
Unbeknownst to most visitors the Museum’s permanent exhibition changes continually. Almost every week new artifacts are rotated into the exhibition and others de-installed. This is in keeping with best museum practices and ensures that the objects are not adversely affected by too much exposure to light and other environmental factors. Artifact rotations also can provide new information on neglected or overlooked topics and bring compelling stories to light.
The objects in the segment on the voyage of the St. Louis must be changed every 6 months or every year, so the Museum continues to collect materials that document this important episode in Holocaust and American history.
