Roger Winter is Executive Director of the United States Committee for Refugees. USCR’s publications on Sudan include “Follow the Women and Cows”: Personal Stories of Sudan’s Uprooted People (1999) and Working Document II: Quantifying Genocide in Southern Sudan and the Nuba Mountains 1983-1998 (1998). He has regularly visited Sudan in connection with humanitarian issues since 1981.
