Donat M’Baya
Donat M’Baya is a founder and the president of Journaliste en Danger (JED), an organization created in 1998 to promote and defend the freedom of the press in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Under his leadership, JED has become the authoritative Congolese press-freedom organization in the DRC and a principal one throughout the continent. JED is now undertaking crucial work documenting attacks against the media during this election year and promoting more responsible journalism to help reduce inflammatory press coverage in the 2011 electoral period.
