Renée Jones-Bos
Her Excellency Renée Jones-Bos is Ambassador of the Netherlands to the United States. She joined the Netherlands’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1981 and has served as its Director General, Deputy Director-General for Regional Policy and Consular Affairs, Ambassador-at-Large for Human Rights, and Security Council Coordinator. From 1994 to 1998 she served in the Dutch Embassy in Prague as Deputy Chief of Mission and as First Secretary at the Dutch Embassy in Washington, D.C., from 1987 to 1990. Ambassador Jones-Bos earned an M.A. in Russian studies from the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom, as well as a licentiate in Russian and English studies and politics and economics from the University of Antwerp in Belgium.
