Gwen Ifill
Gwen Ifill, an award-winning journalist, is moderator and managing editor of Washington Week and senior correspondent for The PBS NewsHour. Moderator of the vice presidential debates during the 2004 and 2008 elections, she authored the best-selling book The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama (2009). Before coming to PBS, she served as chief congressional and political correspondent for NBC News, as White House correspondent for the New York Times, and as a local and national political reporter for the Washington Post.
