Joost Hiltermann
Joost Hiltermann is the Deputy Program Director for the Middle East and North Africa program at the International Crisis Group. Since 2002, he has managed a team of analysts based in the Middle and North Africa to conduct research and write policy-focused reports on factors that increase the risk of and drive armed conflict. He previously worked as Executive Director of the Arms Division of Human Rights Watch, Director of Iraq Documents at Human Rights Watch, and Research Director and analyst at Al-Haq.
