Biography

Mark Frohardt

Mark Frohardt joined Internews as the Africa Regional Director in 1999. He and Emmy-award winning producer Mandy Jacobson produced “The Arusha Tapes” and the continuing “Genocide on Trial” documentary project. As Deputy Chief of Mission for the United Nations Human Rights Field Operation in Rwanda, he headed operations, including human rights programs, and monitored ongoing human rights violations. He has extensive international humanitarian and human rights experience, including working with Fred Cuny’s Center for the Study of Societies in Crisis, Medecins Sans Frontiers, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, United Nations Department of Humanitarian Affairs, and UNTERTECT Relief and Reconstruction Corp.
