Biography

Scott Campbell

Scott Campbell is Africa section chief at the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), responsible for the work of the office in East and Southern Africa. Previously he served as acting head of the office for OHCHR in the Democratic Republic of the Congo from 1996 to 1997; worked with the International Human Rights Law Group/Global Rights in the DRC and Washington, DC; and consulted with Human Rights Watch and other NGOs. A US Peace Corps volunteer in the Central African Republic from 1987 to 1989, he holds master’s degrees in international affairs and public health from Columbia University.
