The Museum’s Regional Education Corps (REC) comprises highly trained master teachers, drawn from the ranks of the Museum Teacher Fellowship Program, who assist in the design, implementation, and assessment of our educational programming for teachers on a national level.
Integral to achieving our goal of fostering quality Holocaust education in America’s secondary schools, REC members facilitate Museum workshops, conferences, and forums; assist with traveling exhibitions; and coordinate outreach at professional conferences for teachers. They take pride in their responsiveness to the needs of teachers, using their expertise to help ensure the Museum’s educational programs integrate Holocaust history, responsible pedagogy, and practical classroom application.
