POLAND Inter-Departmental Group on Restitution of Cultural Heritage On April 3, 2001, former prime minister Jerzy Buzek established this commission to handle cultural assets looted as a result of World War II. The commission’s tasks include researching the effects of World War II in terms of cultural heritage and cooperating with governmental and private organizations to return plundered cultural assets.
