MACEDONIA Jewish Holocaust Fund The Jewish Holocaust Fund in Macedonia was established in April 2002. Enacted by the Macedonian government, the Fund protects property rights of Jewish citizens, who were deported during the Nazi era and perished in the concentration camps, leaving no legal heirs. The law provided for the creation of a special Holocaust fund, to be managed by the Macedonian Jews that would inherit the heirless Jewish properties. The law also provided for restitution of the properties of all churches in Macedonia as well as restitution of urban land to their owners.
