DENMARK Danish National Committee for the Counseling of Victims of Nazi-Germany’s Policies of Persecution, Forced Labor and Genocide The Danish National Committee for the Counseling of Victims of Nazi-Germany’s Policies of Persecution, Forced Labor and Genocide was formed in July 2000 by the Organization of Ex-concentration Camp Inmates and the Jewish Community of Denmark in order to provide assistance to applicants to the German restitution foundation. The National Committee is a nonprofit organization and the Danish partner organization of the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany and the International Organization for Migration. Danish Government Compensation to Victims of Nazi Persecution Danish citizens or former citizens of Denmark who suffer from a physical disability as a result of persecution during the Nazi occupation of Denmark or incarceration in concentration camps may be eligible to receive compensation from the Danish government. The amount of compensation depends upon the applicant’s current level of disability resulting from the persecution.
